[DA] Top 50Impact List2026
The Benchmark for Influence in Australia’s Digital Asset Sector
The Purpose
Digital assets are no longer developing at the edge of the financial system. Banks are engaging. Payment providers are adapting. Institutional capital is moving. Regulators are setting the boundaries.
The lines between digital assets, payments and traditional finance are becoming harder to draw. The question is no longer who is building the sector, but who determines how it connects to the wider financial system.
The [DA] Top 50 identifies impact.
They sit across digital asset businesses, banking, payments, market infrastructure, investment, technology, regulation and public policy.
Some build new rails. Some control access to existing ones. Some deploy capital. Some set policy.
We do not rank influence, we map it.
- Change-makers.
- Builders.
- Gatekeepers.
- Decision-makers.
- Enablers.
50 Names.
One Countdown.
The ranking is revealed live from #50 to #1 in front of the people shaping Australia’s digital asset sector.
The reveal creates the moment.
Recognition, reaction and conversation happen in the room, then travel immediately into the market.
The programme around it creates the longevity.
One night at the centre.
Twelve months of relevance wrapped around it.

The Methodology
The [DA] Top 50 maps where influence actually sits in Australia’s digital asset sector. It is not a vote and not an award. The practical test applied throughout is simple. If this person had not done what they did over the past year, would the sector look different?
- Step One
How Names Are Surfaced
Two channels feed the pool and neither of them is an application. BlockchainAPAC compiles a candidate pool of more than 500 names each year. Anyone can nominate anyone, free of charge. A nomination carries a name and nothing else.
- Step Two
How The Assessment Is Made
A panel of senior figures who work through the candidate pool in structured conversation. They debate positioning, weighting and sector balance. Beyond the panel, the process draws on a broad set of conversations across the sector.
- Step Three
Scoring Is Qualitative
Candidates are considered against institutional position, policy proximity, capital deployment, technical contribution and ethical alignment, but these are axes of consideration rather than a formula with weights attached.
- Step Four
Compiled And Announced
The findings, assessor notes and wider soundings are compiled into the final list. The [DA] Top 50 is announced in Sydney on 29 October 2026.
The Reference
The [DA] Top 50 is carried into policy discussions, private briefings, investor sessions, industry meetings and international engagement.
The list is compiled methodically, open to public input and involvement, fact checked by industry leaders and independently assessed.
We don’t simply publish and walk away.
The purpose is simple: to put that record in front of the people who need to understand where influence sits.
A compounding reference from 2023, 2024 and 2025.

The Archive
Three editions. The list follows the power. Each year reflects a shift in the sector’s centre of gravity.
2023Year One
View The 2023 ListThe Origin
The [DA] Top 50 launched as a segment inside the Digital Asset Conference. An influence-mapping exercise tested within an existing platform to see whether the sector would respond. It did.
2024Year Two
View The 2024 ListThe Beta
The first standalone edition. Black tie, invitation only, 120 industry participants in central Sydney. The format proved the sector would take an influence-mapping exercise seriously.
2025Year Three
View The 2025 ListThe Consolidation
The model consolidated. The venue elevated to the Art Gallery of New South Wales and the guest list tightened. The list moved from experiment to reference point.
Take Part
Make An EnquiryThe list is compiled in the open. Nomination, participation, assessment and partnership are all handled directly.
Nomination
The list is built through assessment, not popularity. Put a name forward for the 2026 long list. Every nomination is read. None are counted.
Participation
Attendance is by invitation. Register interest for the evening in Sydney, October 2026, and we will be in touch as the list is finalised.
Assessor Application
The list is fact checked by industry leaders and independently assessed. Applications to join the assessment panel are reviewed each cycle.
Sponsorship
A limited number of organisations support the programme each year. Partnership is by discussion and has no bearing on the list itself.
